Northreach Food Relief is a ministry of Northreach Baptist Church, operating through Northreach Community Care, the church’s registered charity and community care arm.
Food Relief is open Thursday mornings from 8:30am–10:30am, providing practical assistance to individuals and families experiencing hardship in the Townsville community.
We provide access to emergency food relief, including food hampers, fresh fruit and vegetables, and other essential grocery items when available. Fresh produce from our Northreach Community Garden also helps support the program, with locally grown fruit, vegetables and herbs going directly towards helping people in need.
But Northreach Food Relief is about more than food. We want to create a welcoming and respectful environment where people are treated with dignity, relationships can grow, and people can find connection and further support when needed.
